6 mins - Scott made excellent save from Circuit.

13 mins - Ludlam hit post with fine shot from 20 yards out.  

25 mins - Scott made a good save from Warne and then Barraclough hit post with rebound.

31 mins - Holmes ran at Matlock defence and launched 25 yard drive that was well saved by Richmond.

44 mins - Richmond almost embarrassed as free kick sales over his head and is cleared for a corner.

47 mins - Carruthers turned and shot but effort deflected into side netting. 

47 mins - Scott made a fine save from Webster.

53 mins - Brewer headed clear after Matlock seemed to waltz through Ilkeston defence.

58 mins - Kirkwood replaced Burns.

64 mins - Good passing move ended with Brewer's cross being headed over by Gill.

67 mins - Townsend replaces Carruthers.

69 mins - Bowler's low free kick pushed just wide by Lukic.

71 mins - Gaunt header fell to Muller who volleyed against bar.

82 mins - Hoyle pounces on loose ball and shoots just past corner of post and bar.

89 mins - Williams replaces Barraclough.

92 mins - 0-1 - Miller adjudged to have fouled Taylor and Lukic scores from penalty.

92 mins - Hoyle and Holmes booked.

94 mins - Brown replaces Taylor.

Barry Miller - Another excellent display at the back tarnished slightly by the last gasp penalty. Just pipped Ludlam and Scott.

Ilkeston Town started today's game without the services of Mark Clifford and David Jervis who were both injured in the 2-2 draw at Lincoln United. Manager Nigel Jemson opted to start with a 4-3-3 formation. Despite this attacking formation the Robins looked lacklustre in the first half and found it difficult to break down a resolute Matlock defence. In the second half there was much more goalmouth action and just as it looked like the two teams were prepared to settle for a share of the spoils Taylor who had been a troublesome presence for Matlock all afternoon finally got his reward when Miller tackled him in the box.

Conceding a penalty in the dying seconds is never good for moral but when the threat of relegation has still has not disappeared it is even more galling. However on the bright side Bradford PA, Radcliffe Borough, Runcorn, Lincoln United and Gateshead all lost so things are not as bad as they first seemed after today's defeat.

The Robins must now aim for three points against so that can relax in their remaining league games before they embark on their two outstanding cup ties.
