18th March 2006

Ilkeston Town draw 0-0 with Prescot Cables. Other results are mixed for the Robins has they drop two places to eighteenth in the league.

Elsewhere ex Robin Andy Todd scored a late winner for Accrington Stanley to keep them well clear at the top of the Conference National.

 

17th March 2006

Ilkeston Town sign experienced defender Barry Miller from Worksop Town. He was on the verge of joining the Robins earlier in the season but the deal fell through. Miller includes Brentford, Wokingham, Farnborough Town, Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers, Leigh RMI, Burton Albion and Hucknall Town amongst his former clubs.

 

11th March 2006

Ilkeston defeat Matlock Town at Causeway Lane4-3 after extra time in the semi final of the UniBond Presidents Cup. The Robins will play Bradford Park Avenue in the Final. Striker Adam Muller scores on his second debut after scoring on his first when he was on loan earlier in the season against Lincoln United.

 

9th March 2006

Ilkeston sign winger Mark Smith from Hucknall Town. Smith joined Hucknall after starting out as a trainee at Chesterfield.

 

4th March 2006

Ilkeston beat Ashton United 2-0. Robert Gill scores on his debut after joining from Hucknall Town and the Robins also announce the signing of Adam Muller from Wakefield Emley. Both players are on contracts which will take them up to the end of next season.

 

28th January 2006

Ilkeston Town draw 2-2 at Guiseley. New signing Glenn Kirkwood gets both goals. Kirkwood originally signed for the Robins in 2000 and has since played for Burton Albion, Hinckley Athletic and Worksop Town.

Adam Muller plays the last game of his loan spell and it is reported that Wakefield Emley have rejected the Robin's revised offer. Martin Carruthers signs on till the end of the season and Justin Jenkins joins Rothwell Town permanently. 

Elsewhere ex Robin Christian Moore re joins Burton Albion on loan from Kettering Town and Chris Adam scores his first goal for Frickley Athletic.

 

24th January 2006

Ilkeston Town progress to the final of the Derbyshire Senior Cup after defeating Alfreton Town 4-3 at the New Manor Ground. The Robin's goals came from Mick Goddard, two from Adam Muller and Ryan Ludlam. In the final Ilkeston will entertain Mickleover Sports who surprisingly defeated holders Gresley Rovers.

 

21st January 2006

Ilkeston Town defeat Runcorn 2-0 with goals from Mark Clifford and Martin Carruthers. Scott Bonsall has had his contract terminated  by mutual consent although he has been invited back for pre season training. Gary Townsend will be out of action for six to eight weeks after fracturing his jaw against Leek Town.

 

14th January 2006

Ilkeston Town record their first away victory of the season with a 3-0 win at Leek Town. Adam Muller, Mick Goddard and Mark Clifford get on the scoresheet. Lee Soar makes an impressive debut after signing from Cambridge City .

Ryan Hindley makes his comeback for Ilkeston Town in the reserves fixture against Belper Town Reserves. Rick Brewer scores both goals in a 2-1 win.

Barry Miller turns down the chance to join Ilkeston from Worksop and Ilkeston are unsuccessful in their attempt to bring in players from Hucknall Town and Hednesford Town.

Chris Adam is released by Ilkeston Town. It is thought that the popular winger has joined Frickley Athletic.

Ex Robins on the scoresheet include Jamie Eaton and James Whitehead for Long Eaton United and Gedling Town respectively and Aaron O’Connor who continues to be prolific for Gresley Rovers.

 

9th January 2006

Ilkeston Town Manager Nigel Jemson is reported to have made cash offers for two players from Hednesford Town and has put in seven days for a players from Hucknall Town and Worksop Town

Gresley Rovers Manager Gary Norton claimed he was insulted by the derisory offer the Robins made for Aaron O’Connor. Norton was reported to have asked for £20,000 for a player he signed from Ilkeston for nothing last season and who will able to leave at the end of the season for nothing when he is out of contract.

Other ex Robins in the news include James Whitehead who scores two for Gedling Town and Saul Deeney who successfully kept out the might of Manchester United in yesterday’s FA Cup tie at the Pirelli Stadium. 

 

8th January 2006

Ilkeston Town beat Goole AFC 4-2 in the Presidents Cup to record their first away win of the season. New signing Martin Carruthers who has signed from Grantham Town on loan scores on his debut and Colin Hoyle and Mick Goddard with two are also on the scoresheet. Second on loan signing Pat Lyons who has joined from Belper Town starts on the bench. Lyons is now on his third spell with the club.

Elsewhere ex Robin Leon Kelly scores for Worcester City in their two nil win over Kettering Town and Justin Jenkins scores yet again for Rothwell Town.

 

2nd January 2006

Ilkeston Town lose at home to Lincoln United 2-1. Adam Muller scores on his debut. The Robins slip to 21st in the table. 

Stuart Copnell is highly unlikely to re-sign for Ilkeston Town. Ex Robin Aaron O'Connor scores his twentieth goal of the season for Gresley Rovers and ex manager and Ilkeston legend Keith Alexander is suspended by Lincoln City.

 

1st January 2006

Ilkeston Town sign Adam Muller on a months loan from Wakefield Emley. The Robins have also put in seven days for ex players Stuart Copnell and Pat Lyons. Ilkeston have also put in a written bid for the transfer of Aaron O'Connor. Gresley Rovers are reported to want £20,000 for his signature.

Loaned out striker Justin Jenkins scores again for Rothwell Town

 

26th December 2005

Ilkeston Town are beaten 2-0 by Matlock Town at Causeway Lane but stay in 17th place. Scott Bonsall could be out for the rest of the season with cruciate ligament damage. Ross Turner announces his retirement although Ilkeston Town still hold his registration.
