Ilkeston have signed Craig Gaunt from Leigh RMI. Craig has played for Ilkeston before when Keith Alexander was in charge and should be a valuable asset to the Robins squad.

JEMSON'S LATE LATE WINNER CLINCHES THREE POINTS

27th November  2004

Nigel Jemson scored a terrific goal two minutes into stoppage time to give Ilkeston Town a 2-1 victory over Ossett Albion. Earlier Ryan Hindley had scored an even better goal when he went on a mazy individual run and then slotted the ball home from ten yards. Three minutes later and on the hour Osset equalised through Micky Norbury. The win puts the Robins just one point behind leaders North Ferriby United and Gresley Rovers both of whom were involved in the FA Trophy today.

RILEY OG HORROR THAN LAST GASP HERO

18th November  2004

Paul Riley got a rare chance in the starting line up for Ilkeston has they traveled to Shepshed Dynamo. After twenty seconds he may have wished that he had not has he inadvertently directed a Nathan Tate cross into his own goal. However Justin Jenkins equalised for the Robins after 41 minutes and Riley then turned hero as he scored the winner with a tremendous individual effort with only three minutes remaining on the clock.

RYAN MOVES UP WITH LEADING GOALSCORERS

16th November  2004

Ryan Hindley's brace has moved into the list of top scorers in the UniBond League Division One. Hindley has scored all his goals in the League and is one behind ex Robin Wayne Bullimore who made one appearance for the Robins last season before picking up an injury. Other players in the list have performed well when they have faced Ilkeston this year particularly Gary Bradshaw, Kyle Perry and Simon Hackney.

ILSON CRUSH COLWYN BAY

13th November  2004

Ilkeston Town got back to winning ways with a convincing 4-0 victory over Colwyn Bay. Ryan Hindley opened the scoring after 21 minutes from the penalty spot after Stuart Copnell had been fouled. Copnell himself added a second on 53 minutes and Hindley and Nigel Jemson completed the scoring in the last ten minutes. The win takes the Robins to within one point of North Ferriby United who have played two more games.

FAIR PLAY LEAGUE TABLE

11th November  2004

Ilkeston Town have slipped down to half way in the UniBond Fairplay League. The slump is mainly due to the five bookings and two dismissals against Woodley Sports. If the Robins could have avoided these misdemeanors they would have been top of the Fair Play League with just 13 points and an average of  0.87. I suppose we will just have to concentrate on the real league now. Interesting to note Gresley Rovers position considering some of their fans are criticising future Trophy opponents Bedworth United for lacking discipline and being dirty.

TELFORD SNATCH POINTS IN LAST GASP WIN

6th November  2004

Ilkeston Town lost their third league match out of their last four when they were defeated 3-2 by AFC Telford. In an highly entertaining match Telford took the lead through Kyle Perry. Mark Clifford equalised for the Robins and Chris Adam gave Ilkeston the lead just before half time. Telford got a deserved equaliser again through Perry with ten minutes to go and dramatically won the game with a Damien Charie goal ten seconds before the end of added time.
